How to Watch the James Bond Movies in Order (and Where to Stream Them)
James Bond was first introduced to the world in Ian Fleming’s 1953 novel Casino Royale. The dapper, cunning and sly British operative became an instant hit with readers, prompting Fleming to quickly follow up with more Bond novels.
Nine years later, Bond made his big-screen debut with 1962’s Dr. No. In the film, Bond was portrayed by Sean Connery, who was still relatively new to the industry at the time. Just like the novel series, the film was a hit and Connery soon returned for more sequels. Since then, Bond has returned in 26 additional films and has been portrayed by six other actors – David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
There have also been two outlier movies – 1967’s Casino Royale and 1983’s Never Say Never Again. The former was more of a comedic take on spy films and the latter brought Connery back to retell the story of Thunderball (which he had already starred in 18 years prior).
Here’s where to stream all 27 James Bond movies and how to watch them in order.
Dr. No (1962)
Bond Actor: Sean Connery
The first 007 film starred Connery and was based on Fleming’s sixth Bond novel of the same name, Dr. No. In the movie, one of Bond’s MI6 colleagues mysteriously vanishes in Jamaica and he is sent to investigate.
