Ice Spice makes vulnerable weight-loss confession amid Ozempic speculation

Ice Spice revealed depression caused her dramatic weight loss in 2024 — not Ozempic.

Last week, a fan tweeted a video of the “Boy’s a Liar” rapper working out. In response, another social media user wrote, “This weak ass video just shows it was definitely from ozempic.”

Ice Spice, born Isis Gaston, clapped back at the fan, writing, “na it was depression im better now tho ❤️.”

Fans flooded the “Barbie World” emcee’s tweet with supportive messages following her mental health revelation.

“i love you sister & i’m glad you’re doing better,” wrote one user, while another added, “Depression is no joke. glad you’re feeling better and you look amazing!!”

“good to hear your mental health is doing good we love u mama,” commented a third person.

“Wishing you more Wins …. Love the fact you admitted what it was,” said a fourth netizen.

In summer 2024, the 26-year-old sparked Ozempic rumors after she shared a mirror selfie showing off her slimmer figure.

“i’m a baddie like f–k how u feel,” she captioned the now-deleted post.

After fans inquired whether the Hollywood-loved Type 2 diabetes drug was responsible for Ice Spice “melting” away, she shut down the allegations while chatting with her fans on X Spaces.

“I actually came on here to talk about that real quick,” she told her fans at the time after they complimented how “tea” her body looked.

“Cuz I was like, bitch, I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic. That’s one thing I wish,” the “Princess Diana” emcee added.

“Oh my God! Like, what even is Ozempic? What the f–k is that? Genuinely, what is that?”

Ice Spice then shared that she achieved her new look by working out, eating healthier and being active on her “Y2K!” tour.

“Like, you lazy bitches never heard of the gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour,” she explained.

“Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting home all f–king day, it’ll be easier to stay big.”

Last year, Ice Spice shared that she was “so happy to be thick asf again” after gaining some of her weight back.
