Iconic ’90s TV star unrecognizable in sequin skirt and blond wig for new role
David Duchovny looked unrecognizable as he stepped out in a sequin skirt and a blond wig for a forthcoming movie.
The iconic ’90s TV star turned heads while on the set of the Andrew Jay Cohen-directed film “Soapbox” in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
He also wore a black semi-sheer blouse, tights and bright red lipstick.
Duchovny, 65, accessorized his cheeky look with sunglasses and gray slippers.
At one point, he was seen chatting with the production crew in between takes.
The actor appeared chipper as he walked around sans the wig.
Duchovny stars as an aging soap opera star — opposite actress Laverne Cox — in the satirical comedy revolving around modern-day culture wars.
He is also listed as a co-writer alongside Max Barbakow.
The role is different from his usual characters, including Fox Mulder in “The X Files.”
Duchovny starred as an FBI agent alongside icon Gillian Anderson (who played Dana Scully) in the 11-season TV series, which ran from 1993 to 2018.
He also appeared as Hank Moody in the series “Californication” from 2007 to 2014.
The producer’s most recent role was in the Jay Duplass-directed film “See You When I See You,” released in January.
Duchovny is married to Monique Pendleberry, whom he wed last year.
The “Feel” star was previously married to Téa Leoni from 1997 to 2014.
The exes are the parents of daughter Madelaine West, 26, and son Kyd, 23.
