Diane Keaton was a comically gifted Oscar winner, interior-design junkie and style icon. She was also effortlessly candid and endlessly quotable.

Famous for her performances in films across decades like The Godfather franchise, Annie Hall, The First Wives Club and multiple collaborations with director Nancy Meyers, the actress died on Saturday, Oct. 11, at age 79 in California.

“There are no further details available at this time, and her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness,” a spokesperson for Keaton said.

Keaton dated Steve Jobs a few times in the ’80s, but “he’d start saying things about the computer and I’m going, ‘I have no interest.’ Do you believe it? So that was the end of that.”
