‘Insecure’ JoJo Siwa admits to spending $50K on cosmetic procedure

JoJo Siwa admitted to spending tens of thousands of dollars on a cosmetic procedure after saying she is “insecure.”

BuzzFeed asked the “Karma” singer, 20, at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards last month to name the most expensive thing she was wearing, to which she replied, “My teeth.”

“These motherf–kers cost me 50 grand,” she said in the TikTok video, referring to her veneers.

Siwa, who recently underwent a major rebrand, previously shared that she was crippled by insecurity.

“I judge myself at everything. I’m a very insecure person,” she said while competing on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” last November.

“Everything gets judged. You know, people told me I have a receding hairline; they don’t know that I have a stress rash and that’s why I’m balding right here. A 12-year-old shouldn’t have a stress rash on their head that makes them bald, but I did.”

The “Dance Moms” alum appears to have overcome some of her fears, as she wore a Kiss-inspired look to the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards last week that left fans shocked because she had ditched her signature high ponytail.

“People are afraid of things they don’t know,” she told E! News on the red carpet. “Things can be scary for people. New things can be very, very scary.”

Kiss frontman Gene Simmons, however, gave Siwa’s look his seal of approval.

“JoJo is cool. Anybody who doesn’t get it is just jealous, period,” Simmons, 74, told TMZ, adding, “Never be ordinary. Always be extraordinary. JoJo is extraordinary, and she looks cool.”

The legendary “Detroit Rock City” performer acknowledged that Siwa’s black-and-white outfit bore similarities to his Kiss costumes, continuing, “Of course she looks like me, but that’s another story.”
