Hayden Panettiere’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was facing serious financial issues after his domestic violence arrests.

The aspiring actor filed for bankruptcy in July 2022, listing assets totaling $25,700 and liabilities totaling around $60,000, according to docs obtained by TMZ.

Per the outlet, Hickerson stated that his monthly expenses totaled $1,248 per month, but his average monthly income was $0.00.

For his assets, the former medical assistant listed a 1990 Ford Bronco worth $3,000 with 160,000 miles, an “inoperable” 2008 Toyota Prius worth $2,000, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle worth $3,000 and a Chevrolet Silverado truck worth $8,000.

Hickerson said the truck was in his name but belonged to his father.

In the petition, Hickerson said he only had $6,250 in his checking account and the only property he owned was an iPhone, a printer, $2,000 in clothing and $100 worth of jewelry.

Hickerson’s total debt included nearly $20,000 in credit card expenses and about $18,000 in medical bills.

At the time of the filing, Hickerson said he was newly employed at a staffing company.

TMZ reported that the case was closed months later.

The bankruptcy filing came years after Hickerson was arrested for domestic violence against Panettiere.

In May 2019, Hickerson was arrested for domestic violence due to an alleged incident with the “Bring It On: All or Nothing” star.

Hickerson was charged with felony domestic violence later that month and ordered to stay 100 yards from Panettiere and not contact her.

In September 2019, Hickerson’s domestic violence case was dismissed.

The following February, Hickerson was arrested in Wyoming on Valentine’s Day following an alleged domestic dispute with Panettiere.

In July 2020, the “Scream VI” actress was granted a restraining order against Hickerson, Page Six confirmed at the time.

That same month, Hickerson was arrested again in Los Angeles and hit with an eight-count criminal indictment with charges stemming from a series of abusive incidents between May 2019 and January 2020.

In April 2021, Hickerson accepted a plea deal, pleading no contest to two felony counts of injuring a spouse or girlfriend. The remaining six counts were dismissed.

A judge sentenced Hickerson to 45 days in county jail, four years of formal probation, 52 mandatory domestic violence classes and a five-year restraining order.

Hickerson and Panettiere dated on and off for four years. They split for good in July 2022.

The “Remember the Titans” star was found dead inside a South Carolina Airbnb on Aug. 16. She was 36.

Audio from the 911 call obtained by Page Six revealed that Panettiere was unresponsive following an apparent “overdose.”

Panettiere was found unresponsive by Brian’s brother, Zach Hickerson. At the time, Brian had been sleeping in another room.

Brian has not publicly addressed his girlfriend’s death.
