Inside Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness’ Former Shared NYC Apartment Amid Divorce

As Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness‘ divorce proceedings continue, the division of their real estate properties remains up in the air.

The former spouses shared multiple homes together before announcing their split in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage, including houses in their native Australia and an East Hampton beach residence, per Architectural Digest. Their most frequented residence was that of their West Village condo in New York City.

Jackman, 56, and Furness, 69, purchased the Chelsea apartment for $21.1 million in August 2022 shortly after listing their previous NYC home on the market for $38.9 million that June, per AD. (The Daily Mail reported on Friday, May 30, that Jackman will retain the NYC home as a part of his and Furness’ divorce settlement.)

The purchase was made during Jackman’s run in the Broadway revival of The Music Man, which he starred in alongside his girlfriend, Sutton Foster. Us Weekly confirmed the pair’s relationship status in November 2024.

At the time, a source exclusively revealed to Us that “Sutton and Hugh’s relationship is the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced,” adding, “A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”

Furness officially filed for divorce from Jackman — with whom she shares kids Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19 — on May 23. “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she said in a May 27, statement to the Daily Mail.

Another source later told Us that Jackman was surprised by Furness’ comments, adding, “[He is] hopeful in time they will heal and … be friends and resolve any misunderstandings.”
