Inside Johnny Depp’s ‘quiet life’ in London after Amber Heard trial: ‘He’s focused on moving forward’

Johnny Depp’s “new chapter” is a “quiet” one.

The actor “is prioritizing his health and well-being” nearly two years after winning his and Amber Heard’s defamation trial, a source told People Friday.

“He’s taking advantage of being in this better headspace,” the insider added. “There’s a lot of good energy, and he surrounds himself with a good group of people.”

The magazine reported that Depp, 60, is “focused on moving forward” and “keeping busy” in London, which feels like “home” to him.

“It is more of a quiet life, but filled with painting and music,” the source explained. “He’s jamming out with friends and playing solo in times when he’s not focused on filmmaking.

“There’s a lot of good distractions, so there’s not that much time to be reminiscing on that darker period. … He’s feeling better about where he is in life. There’s no animosity toward anybody.”

The Oscar nominee and Heard, 38, were headline staples in 2022 as their court case played out over her 2018 Washington Post op-ed about domestic abuse.

A verdict was reached in June 2022, with Depp being awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

Heard has since moved to Madrid, where she lives with her 3-year-old daughter, Oonagh.

The “Aquaman” star was married to Depp from 2015 to 2017.

While Heard’s current relationship status remains unclear, Depp does not have “time right now” for a love life and is “too busy” to be dating, according to the new report.

Before he met Heard in 2011, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis.

The former couple are the parents of daughter Lily-Rose, 24, and son Jack, 22.

Depp’s eldest child defended her silence amid the trial, telling Elle in November 2022 that she was entitled to her own “secret garden of thoughts” about it.

“I feel like for a lot of my career, people have really wanted to define me by the men in my life, whether that’s my family members or my boyfriends, whatever,” Lily-Rose said. “And I’m really ready to be defined for the things that I put out there.”
