Is Travis Kelce Playing Better Since Taylor Swift Sang About His Manhood on ‘Wood’? Jason Kelce Has the Stats

Jason Kelce highlighted an important question after Taylor Swift released her new album The Life of a Showgirl: Is his brother Travis Kelce playing better football since Swift released her ode to his manhood?

Jason, 37, got to the bottom of things on the Oct. 15 episode of his and Travis’ New Heights podcast when the retired NFL star shared his brother’s statistics from Chiefs games before and after Swift, 35, released her song “Wood” on Oct. 3, which includes raunchy lyrical references about his “redwood tree” and his “love” being the “key that opened my thighs.”

Travis, 36, laughed as Jason shared “‘Wood’ stats” from that a fan posted on X.

Jason read: “Travis Kelce before the release of ‘Wood’: four games, 15 catches, 188 yards and a touchdown.”

“Travis Kelce after the release of ‘Wood’: two games, 139 yards and one touchdown.”

Travis said the comparison, and his brother reading it on their podcast, was “hilarious,” and after considering the stats, Jason, whose wife Kylie said “Wood” is one of her favorite songs on Swift’s new album, concluded, “I don’t know if that’s significant, but it is funny.”

Swift cheered on her beau for the first time since her album release at the Chiefs game on Oct. 12. The singer was joined by WNBA star Caitlin Clark as the Chiefs defeated the Lions.

Jason hasn’t let up on his younger brother since Swift released the sexy song, which Travis admitted he was “terrified” for their father Ed Kelce to hear. Jason has continued to poke fun at the Chiefs star with questions like, “Do you feel, do you feel — not confident — do you feel cocky about the song ‘Wood’?” and noting, “That’s not just any song. This is a very specific you.”

Travis tried to play off the innuendos, saying he thinks it’s “great” and joking that he thinks Jason is just “not understanding the song.”

Travis and the Chiefs have endured a rocky start to their season, losing their first two games for the first time since 2014 and suffering a third frustrating defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 6.

They got back in the win column the following week with a 30-17 win over Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions on Oct. 12.

Next, the Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Oct. 19.
