Love Island star Anton Danyluk shocked his mum by introducing her to his girlfriend for the very first time on their podcast.
Scottish hunk Anton, 29, first found fame on Love Island in 2019 when he was a contestant on season five of the show. He returned to the villa earlier this year to participate in spin-off show Love Island: All Stars where he partnered with 29-year-old Georgia Harrison – who first starred on Love Island during season three in 2017.
The duo had something of an awkward romance on the spin-off show as Georgia found herself being turned off by Anton as she found him too nice – but they went on to develop a bond and continue to date. Now Anton has a podcast of his own which he stars in with his mum, Sherie Ann – titled What’s The Crack?
The pair are now sitting down weekly to discuss their mother-and-son relationship and to keep fans updated on their lives. But the air turned awkward for this week’s episode as Anton announced he would be introducing Sherie Ann to girlfriend Georgia for the first time while recording for their podcast – and this all led to some rather awkward exchanges.
Speaking into the mic, Anton revealed: “Me and Georgia are getting to a really good stage in our relationship and you need to meet soon rather than later. So I’ve actually asked her to come along today to do the podcast.” But sounding shocked, Sherie Ann replied: “You want me to meet Georgia for the first time on a podcast? Have you thought this through?”
Things quickly turned awkward for the trio. Anton explained his rationale saying: “There has always been that barrier between who I am with and my mum. So I thought why not bring the two of you together, is there anything you want to get off your chest to make things a bit faster?” But it seemed the scenes that appeared in Love Island: All Stars upset Anton’s mum.
Confronting Georgie, the proud mother said: “I lost sleep over you, you did my nut in.” Georgia replied: “I am sorry. Honestly I never once spoke badly of Anton.” But Sherie Ann raged: “You said he gave you the f***ing ick.” Georgia defended herself, telling her: “That is not speaking bad of him that is just communicating how I am feeling at the time.” Things didn’t exactly improve as the podcast concluded with Sherrie telling her son’s love interest that “time will tell” if they will get on well.
Anton famously has a disturbingly close relationship with his mum – shocking and repulsing Love Island fans when he first appeared on the show in 2019 when he appeared on season five of the show that he gets his mum to shave his bum for him. In an astonishing, and unprovoked, confession, he explained that his mother regularly shaves his bottom for him.
Asked by Amber Gill if he shaves his legs, Anton confessed he did – but added: “My mum shaves my bum for me too. That’ll be Amy [Hart’s] job now.” And even more shockingly, Sherrie herself subsequently defended the odd set-up. She told the Daily Record: “It’s something I do every couple of weeks and it’s no big deal in our house.”
