Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to open luxury Aman resort in Albania, with food by Carbone
Ivanka Trump is opening a new luxury Aman hotel in Albania with her hubby, real estate developer Jared Kushner.
“Right now I’m working with my husband,” Trump said in an interview on Lex Friedman’s podcast. “We have this 1,400-acre island in the Mediterranean, and we’re bringing in the best architects and the best brands.”
The mountainside resort will be run by Vlad Dronin’s ultra-luxe Aman brand, and feature foodie hotspot Carbone.
“Aman’s going to operate the hotel for us, and they’re going to be villas, and we have Carbone who’s going to be doing the food and beverage,” she says. “But it’s amazing to bring together all of this talent. And for me to be able to play around and flex the real estate muscles again and have some fun with it.”
Trump — who worked for her father in the White House, along with Kushner, before stepping back to spend time with her kids in Miami, Fla. — says she’s trying to “honor the topography that exists.”
The conceptual drawings look, “very modern, but making it feel right in terms of the context of the vegetation and the terrain that exists is, and not just have a beautiful glass box,” she said in the interview.
“Obviously you want glass. You want to look out and see that gorgeous blue ocean, but how do you do that in a way that doesn’t feel generic and isn’t a squandered opportunity to create something new,” she added.
Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, the Kardashians, Angelina Jolie, David Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, Tom Hanks, and members of various royal families are fans of Aman, which has over 30 properties in 20 countries.
Rooms at the resorts average around $1,400 a night and villas go for $50,000.
Ivanka has been spotted regularly at the Aman’s NYC location.
Ivanka will also be in attendance to support her dad, Donald Trump, when he officially accepts the GOP nomination for president, The Post previously reported — but she won’t serve in any political capacity, as a delegate, fundraiser or otherwise.
