Jack Black Surprising Tanner from Love on the Spectrum Is Going Viral — Watch the Joyful Moment: ‘Best Day of My Life’

Jack Black kept his promise to Tanner Smith from Love on the Spectrum!
After sending Tanner, who is big fan of Black’s 2008 animated film Kung Fu Panda, a video message to tell him to “keep up the great work” and to promise that they’d meet in person “someday soon,” the 55-year-old actor surprised Tanner on the April 3 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The emotional moment is now going viral. Leading up to their in-person encounter, host Clarkson told the 25-year-old Netflix star that Black recorded a second video, with an unexpected ending, for him to watch.
“What’s up, Tanner? Jack Black here! I still cannot wait to meet you in person, but I’m on the road with A Minecraft Movie,” he said. “But luckily, I have insane ninja kung fu powers, which means I can come through these doors and I’m gonna see you right now when I come through these doors!”
The School of Rock star busted through the studio doors and ran straight to the Clemson University graduate, who jumped off the couch to give Black a big hug and express his shock at finally meeting him.
“Jack, I’m so glad I finally get to meet you! Jack, I’m your biggest fan ’cause you’re a great actor and a great singer,” Tanner said, before telling Black that he was “handsome” and “strong” while they mingled on the couch.

Black replied to the compliments with, “I do work out a little bit. We should do some weightlifting together. You can teach me some tips.”
Tanner quickly responded, “Guess what, I’m going to get your phone number and then we can work out together,” before the two high-fived.
Black then complimented Tanner on Love on the Spectrum, which follows a group of people on the autism spectrum “as they explore the realms of romance and relationships,” as Netflix says in the show’s synopsis.
“I love you on the show and I can’t wait for the next season, and I’m so happy for you, having all of this success and time in your life,” Black said. “And to meet you in person is amazing for me too!”
Tanner closed out the touching moment by thanking Clarkson, 42, for setting it up: “Ms. Kelly, thank you so much. This is the best day of my life.”
Love on the Spectrum season 3 premiered on Netflix on April 2.
