James Argent is reportedly dating fellow reality TV star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, with the pair said to have enjoyed “cosy dates” following her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
It’s been suggested that James, 36, and Ekin-Su, 29, have struck up a “shock romance,” though they aren’t said to be “official”. They have reportedly “grown close after enjoying cosy dates” at each other’s homes in Essex following the latter’s eviction from Celebrity Big Brother back in March.
It’s been suggested that friends are looking forward to seeing where the relationship goes. James is said to have supported Ekin-Su as she dealt with the reaction to her appearance on the ITV reality show earlier this year. She was the fourth housemate to be evicted from the revived show.
A source told the Daily Mail: “James lives close to Ekin, they are practically neighbours – so when she needed a friend after Celebrity Big Brother, he was there for her. Their friendship developed into something stronger and they started to spend more time together, even passionately kissing. It’s still early days and they both appreciate they need to take it slow, having come out of high-profile relationships in the past six months… but there’s no denying the feelings and chemistry between them.”
Ekin-Su competed on the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, which ran for three weeks in March. She was a housemate alongside the likes of eventual winner David Potts and runner-up Nikita Kuzmin. She ended up being the fourth celebrity evicted from the Big Brother house.
The experience proved controversial and Ekin-Su reflected in a post that she shared last month. She wrote: “Took some time off to reflect, recharge and restore which I’m still very much doing but I’ll need to be back online for work purposes especially.”
She added at the time: “Haven’t felt myself for a long time, and I’ve realised I had kind of lost myself and for a while didn’t know who I was beyond being defined by ex relationships or TV shows, and that needs to change! I am so excited for all the growth and full healing. CBB was the final lightbulb moment to make me realise what needs to be done.”
The reality TV star – who has also been on shows like Traitors US and Dancing on Ice – concluded: “Embracing the fresh start to a new month and new era. Wishing everyone an April full of possibilities. I am so grateful for each one of you.”
Ekin-Su previously had a romance with Davide Sanclimenti. The former couple, who won Love Island together in 2022, announced in respective statements on social media back in January that they were no longer in a relationship.
Whilst former the Only Way is Essex cast member James – also known simply as ‘Arg’ – was believed to have been in a relationship with Stella Turian last year. It was however reported in November that the pair had parted ways.
