Jax Taylor claims ‘Vanderpump Rules’ is ‘scripted’, says only early seasons were ‘organic’
Former “Vanderpump Rules” star Jax Taylor claimed the hit Bravo show is now “scripted” despite being completely “organic” in its early seasons.
During a “VPR” viewing party at his Studio City bar on Tuesday night, the reality TV star was caught ranting about how the cast doesn’t “even hang out with each other” in real life.
“Show me a scripted show and I’ll show you f—king ‘Vanderpump Rules,’” the 44-year-old said to the crowd in a video obtained by Page Six. “Scripted! Scripted! I’ve been on this show for nine f—king years … this is scripted.”
Taylor went on to call Tuesday night’s episode”disastrous” — yet it’s unclear exactly what scene prompted his outburst.
“I’ll be on it next and I’ll tell you what, it was scripted,” he continued, claiming that it didn’t use to be that way.
“Don’t get me wrong when we started it was awesome,” he clarified. “Seasons one through six [were] organic, it was real.”
At the beginning, Taylor explained that everyone took it seriously because it was their “job” and what they “loved to do.”
However, once everyone got rich and famous they drifted apart and their relationships became “fake,” according to Taylor.
“Nobody shows up [with] Chanel earrings on at the beach,” he joked.
The father of one concluded the rant by plugging his new show, “The Valley” — which stars him and estranged wife Brittany Cartwright.
“Now you have a real show! Back to where it all started, it’s organic, it’s real,” he said. “These are all brand new people!”
Taylor, who left the series in 2020, also insinuated via X (formerly known as Twitter) that the show has been scrambling for storylines.
“how do you know when vanderpump has literally hit a dead end and have nothing to talk about anymore… they have a water tasting.. what the actual f—k,” he tweeted.
During Tuesday night’s episode, exes Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix got into a screaming match during a water tasting at co-star James Kennedy’s home.
Madix called Sandoval, whom she dated for nearly a decade, a “piece of s—t” for accidentally locking her dog Mya in her room, which she claims could have “killed” the pup.
However, Sandoval tried to stand his ground, arguing that the dog was OK and that he was not “a dog murderer.”
Although many of their co-stars sided with Sandoval, Madix was unwilling to let it go.
“I am not capable of having a productive conversation with a f—king sociopath, disgusting, psycho, narcissist, gaslighter [and] piece of s—t,” she concluded. “I will set fire to his f—king ass.”
