Jay Leno spotted at LA pastrami spot after dramatic fall: ‘He’s healing well’

Former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno was spotted on Monday at an LA pastrami spot — looking better, spies said, after injuring his face in a nasty fall.

A spy told Page Six that they saw Leno at local favorite, the Hat, having a late lunch with a pal.

Said the source: “He looks like he’s healing well.”

The comedian, 74, on Friday had walked the red carpet for a benefit gala hosted by amfAR in Las Vegas, where he still had major swelling under his left eyebrow and bruises all over his forehead, eye and cheek, Page Six reported.

Leno told reporters at the event, “I’ve got a broken wrist, but I’m all right,” and gave a thumbs up to the photogs on the carpet.

The onetime late-night host told TMZ a week before his Pastrami date with a buddy that he’d fallen down a hill that was, “60 to 70 feet high” while walking to a restaurant near his hotel near Pittsburgh, Penn., where he was staying for a gig.

“I fell down. Boom, boom, boom. I rolled down the hill, hit my head on a rock, knocked me in the eye,” he explained of the incident, adding that he “didn’t have a car” on the trip, so he decided to hike down to the eatery rather than hit the road.

Leno did not seek medical attention at the time, he said, but went to the hospital once he was back in Los Angeles.

Known for his hard-work ethic doing comedy dates, he even made it to another comedy show at the Yaamava Casino in Highland, Calif., that same weekend, insisting to TMZ that the ordeal is “not that big of a deal.”

The latest Leno accident hit two years after he was rushed to the hospital due to a freak car fire that left him with third-degree burns.

The comic had to undergo several surgeries and skin grafts, but downplayed that incident back then: He told Page Six at the time, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am OK. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”
