Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo, claps back at trolls after his affair revelation
Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo, is standing by her decision to forgive the musician after he cheated on her.
After Jelly Roll revealed earlier this week that he previously engaged in an extramarital affair, social media users came out in droves to share their opinions on the situation.
One “super bummed” critic wrote to Bunnie, “Oh my dear. Your husband had an affair on you. You took him back and have sung perfection since.”
The netizen went on to argue, “We can’t look up to you now,” wondering, “Where are your friends. How can anyone support this?”
The person concluded by asking the “lord” to “provide bunny the strength to hop away 🐇🐇.”
But Bunnie, 45, didn’t appreciate the sentiments and clapped back, “It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves — instead of running or gossiping.”
According to the “Dumb Blonde” podcast host, “Growth isn’t weakness, it’s grace. But not everyone’s built for that kind of strength.”
Bunnie returned the “prayer,” by telling the commenter, “I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you’re judging another woman’s life ❤️.”
She uploaded a screenshot of the conversation to her Instagram Story, added a “🥱” emoji and set the post to the tune of Ozzy Osbourne’s “No More Tears.”
The former escort added that she would be elaborating on “the whole story” in her forthcoming memoir, “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.”
A description for the book reads, “From the trailer parks of Vegas to the mansions of Nashville, Bunnie Xo has lived a lot of lives and seen the darkest sides of humanity. Her memoir, ‘Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,’ is cold, clear evidence that no one is irredeemable.
“With a heavy dose of humor and a refreshing sense of self-awareness, Bunnie pulls no punches as she shares her journey of redemption while offering some homespun wisdom to those who need a little saving themselves.”
As for Jelly, his transgression still haunts him.
“I don’t talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” the rapper, 40, confessed on Tuesday’s episode of the “Human School” podcast.
“The repair has been special. And we’re stronger than we could have ever been.”
The Grammy winner — who is now sober from hard drugs — gave context for his behavior, explaining that he was hanging around guys who were cheating on their wives, doing hard drugs and drinking heavily.
He described them as “horrible humans” but admitted that part of him felt “proud” of the “long-standing friendships.”
Jelly — who has two children from previous relationships — and Bunny married in 2016.
They separated in 2018 due to his affair but reconciled before the year’s end.
The couple went on to renew their vows in 2023.
