Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck spotted together for the first time in more than a month as divorce rumors swirl
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been photographed together for the first time in more than a month.
The “Air” star was seen pulling up in his SUV Thursday night to pick up the “Let’s Get Loud” singer and her child Emme outside of a school, where Affleck’s 15-year-old, Seraphina, had been performing in a play.
In the images, obtained by Page Six, Affleck can be seen leaning over the center console of his car to open the door for Lopez. After the “Shotgun Wedding” actress settled into the front seat and Emme, 16, in the rear, a stone-faced-looking Affleck drove away from the school.
The “Hustlers” actress, 54, looked chic in a pair of flared, frayed jeans and a cream-colored blouse with her hair tied back in a ponytail. Emme complemented their mother in denim and a white T-shirt.
Although Affleck, 51, remained in the vehicle, he kept his left hand on the steering wheel giving fans a good look at the wedding ring on that finger; however, a source told the Daily Mail Affleck and Lopez neither hugged nor kissed each other hello when they were seen earlier in the day.
InTouch was first to publish the images.
Bennifer 2.0’s outing comes as rumors swirl that the reunited pair are headed for a divorce. Affleck reportedly has been staying at a different house for “the past week or so” in Brentwood, Calif., near his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
A source close to the pair also claimed Thursday that they are “having issues in their marriage.”
“They started having issues a few months ago as Jen had started ramping up work commitments and prepping for her tour,” the insider told Us Weekly.
Reps for the “Gigli” co-stars haven’t returned Page Six’s numerous requests for comment.
The “Waiting for Tonight” singer further fueled split rumors this week by “liking” a social media post about unhealthy relationships.
Months before the split speculation began, however, Affleck admitted in his wife’s documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” that they each had to learn to meet each other halfway before rekindling their romance.
“Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media,’” he recalled. “And then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like you’re gonna marry a boat captain and [say] like, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.’”
He added, “We’re just two people with different approaches, trying to learn to compromise.”
