Jessica Simpson called out for looking unrecognizable in new music studio photoshoot: ‘I had no idea who this was’

Jessica Simpson is being called out for looking unrecognizable while teasing fans with new music.

The singer, 44, took to social media late Monday night to post a photo from the music studio, telling fans, “I can’t wait for y’all to hear the soundtrack of my soul 💿.”

While surrounded by instruments, the “Irresistible” singer sat back in a chair showcasing her silky white two-set, which she paired with an oversized blazer, black fishnets, a black necklace and high-heeled cowboy boots.

She completed the look with a half-up, half-down hairdo and full glam.

And although many applauded Simpson for promising new music, others were more focused on her appearance.

“Girl who is this,” one fan questioned, as another told her, “Woah. You don’t look like jessica.”

Others pointed out that they thought she looked like Kim Zolciak, Christina Hall, Ivanka Trump, Paris Hilton and even a Kardashian sister.

“These ladies in Hollywood all look alike,” a second person criticized in the comments. “I honestly can’t tell them apart. They’re pretty but they look the same.”

“I had no idea who this was,” a third simply said, as another added, “Doesn’t even look like the same person anymore, nowhere close to.”

Simpson — who has been sober for the last seven years — has taken social media by storm by posting racy outfits following her 100-pound weight loss.

She’s also had fans talking as they’ve noticed she no longer shares photos with her husband, Eric Johnson, and has even ditched her wedding ring.

On Nov. 11, she further fueled split rumors when posting another shot from the music studio, captioning it, “This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve 🎶 🎼 🤍🖤.”

Three days later, Johnson was seen about the town without his wedding ring.

Despite Jessica’s sister, Ashlee Simpson, seemingly denying the split rumors, a source told Page Six that they are no longer attending school functions together.

“In years past, Jess always attended events at the school either solo or with Eric,” the source told us Nov. 12. “Never Eric alone. But recently it’s just been Eric.

“As you can imagine, there’s been a lot of gossip among the parents.”

The separation has, of course, left the fashion designer “heartbroken,” with a source telling Us Weekly, “[It was] not an easy decision for her.”

A second source said that Simpson and the former San Francisco 49ers tight end, 45, are “living separately right now.”

Meanwhile, a third insider noted they are “trying to figure out a separation without disrupting their kids’ lives as much as possible.” However, the pair is “still figuring things out.”

After splitting from Nick Lachey in 2006, Simpson moved on with Johnson, tying the knot in 2014.

They now share daughters Maxwell, 12, and Birdie, 5, as well as son Ace, 11.
