Joe Alwyn, Mary Beth Barone spotted out in NYC together
Out for an evening stroll.
“The Favourite” actor Joe Alwyn and comedian Mary Beth Barone were spotted out together Thursday night in New York City, with photos obtained by Page Six showing them walking across the Williamsburg Bridge and hitting local bars.
For the outing, Alwyn sported a black T-shirt and loose-fitted jeans, while the “Overcompensating” actress wore a black minidress and bright blue boots as she carried a denim jacket over her arm.
The British actor, 35, was also snapped wearing or holding a baseball cap in some images — and Barone, also 35, tried it on in one photo of them at a NYC establishment.
Alwyn — who famously dated Taylor Swift from 2017 to 2023 — was most recently linked romantically to “Love Story” actress Sarah Pidgeon over the summer.
In exclusive photos obtained by Page Six, the two shared a steamy kiss and a hug on a date night in Brooklyn in mid-June.
Then, just days before Swift said “I do” to Travis Kelce at their star-studded Madison Square Garden wedding on July 3, Alwyn and Pidgeon were snapped canoodling at a London park while enjoying a PDA-filled picnic.
Barone recently opened up about her dating life in an interview with Cosmopolitan, revealing what type of partner she gravitates toward.
“What’s crazy is I actually don’t even have a type,” she dished. “Actually, no, I do — guys who aren’t nice to me. That’s my [boy] type. My girl type is girls that look like me.”
Barone has been open about her bisexuality in her standup comedy material over the years.
“Being bi is so much fun because gay people hate you and straight people don’t believe you,” she joked in a TikTok video posted in February 2025. “They especially don’t believe you when you date a guy. That’s the one thing all bi people have in common: We all end up with guys.”
In March, Barone sparked romance rumors with “Emily in Paris” actor Lucas Bravo when the two were spotted at a New York Knicks game together. Adding fuel to the flame was Barone’s “Overcompensating” co-star and “Ride” podcast co-host Benito Skinner commented heart-eyes emoji on the post.
Barone, however, called the outing a “PR relationship” suggested by Netflix to promote her comedy special, “Galaxy Brain.”
“They handled everything,” she explained on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in July. “Our first date was courtside at the Knicks. We went to the Cannes Film Festival, and we had to have sex a few times for legal reasons.”
“We aren’t together anymore, though,” she quipped. “We just did the three-month contract.”
