John Krasinski and Natalie Portman Go on a Globe-Hopping Adventure in New Fountain of Youth Trailer (Exclusive)
The Sexiest Man Alive is also the most adventurous man alive!
Reigning SMA John Krasinski, 45, stars alongside Natalie Portman, 43, in Fountain of Youth, director Guy Ritchie’s thrilling new movie about the hunt for the source of eternal life. PEOPLE is exclusively debuting a new trailer.
Krasinski and Portman play estranged siblings Luke and Charlotte Purdue — the children of a late treasure hunter — who took different paths in life. Luke has followed in his father’s footsteps, traveling the world (and breaking laws) to find forgotten artifacts, while Purdue is a more reserved gallery worker.
Though Luke and Charlotte have their differences, they eventually join forces to find the titular mythical spring.

“They both come from a background of archeological endeavors in terms of finding archeological artifacts, so there’s a history there,” Ritchie told Entertainment Weekly in December. “They are estranged, but they find an alibi as to why they need to unify to find this particular treasure.”
Their expensive quest is financially backed by a seemingly benevolent billionaire Owen Carver (Domhnall Gleeson), who has his own reasons for helping Luke and Charlotte.
But there are mysterious folks who don’t want the Purdues and Carver to succeed.
“The fountain is so powerful and dangerous for mankind, for thousands of years, we have ensured that it remain hidden,” Stanley Tucci’s character tells a woman (Eiza González) who tries to stop the Purdues at every turn.
“You’re a child flying a kite in a lightning storm,” she warns Luke at one point. Indeed, the journey is undeniably electric.
Fountain of Youth, which also stars Carmen Ejogo and Laz Alonso, is on Apple TV+ May 23.
