John Legend Celebrates His 47th Birthday by Getting Slimed with Wife Chrissy Teigen and Their 4 Kids

John Legend had a messy birthday!

The singer turned 47 on Sunday, Dec. 28, and he marked the occasion with a trip to the Sloomoo Institute — a slime experience in New York City — with his wife, Chrissy Teigen, and their four children.

In an Instagram post shared by Teigen, 40, she and Legend could be seen having fun with their kids: daughters Luna Simone, 9, and Esti Maxine, 2, plus sons Miles Theodore, 7, and Wren Alexander, 2.

“One last thing before we leave nyc 🥹 we love you @sloomooinstitute!” the cookbook author and former model wrote in her caption. “Love, Chroostoonoo, Joohn, Loonoo, Mooloos, Oostoo and Wroon.”

Legend’s Dec. 28 birthday comes amid a busy holiday season for the musician and his family.

Aside from unwrapping Christmas presents together on Dec. 25, the family also attended Disney on Ice at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Dec. 20.

All six members of the family were photographed posing and smiling alongside Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at the event.

Over the years, Teigen has celebrated her EGOT-winning hubby on his birthday by penning sweet messages on social media.

For Legend’s milestone 40th birthday in 2018, his wife wrote, in part, “The best father, hardest worker, best lover, best friend I could ever imagine. … The world has been blessed by your 40 years on this planet.”

And last year, in 2024, Teigen revealed in her 46th birthday tribute post to Legend what they and their kids did to celebrate his big day.

“To our everything, the soul of our home (I’m the heart) we love you so much,” Teigen wrote on Instagram.

She added: “Happy 46th birthday. You spent it taking the kids to the bubble experience in London at 8am, and now we are heading to the Devil Wears Prada musical because you’re up for any kind of date night you can get, ever.”
