Joshua Jackson and Ex Jodie Turner-Smith Reunite for Family Vacation With Daughter
Exes Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith reunited for a fun-filled vacation with their daughter.
Turner-Smith, 39, shared a glimpse of the family’s travels to the Four Seasons Resort Nevis in the Caribbean via Instagram on Tuesday, August 4. In one image, Jackson, 48, held daughter Juno, 6, on his lap while she wore a white dress and hair bow and faced away from the camera.
In another snap, Juno and Turner-Smith walked the property together while a separate clip showed Juno running in the sand at night. She also captured the picturesque views including a gorgeous sunset as well as the birds and monkeys on the island, in addition to a tasty dessert with Juno’s name covered in sprinkles and M&M’s.
“Dreamy days at @fsnevis #FSNevis,” Turner-Smith captioned the upload.
Jackson and Turner-Smith tied the knot in 2019, welcoming their daughter one year later. Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson in 2023 after four years of marriage. Their split was finalized in 2025, with the exes ultimately agreeing to share joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.
The following year, Turner-Smith opened up about how she and Jackson talked to their daughter about their separation.
“I’m a child of divorce, myself, and so is my ex-husband,” Turner-Smith said during a June episode of Hoda Kotb’s “Joy 101” podcast. “It’s always been important to think about what is the language around which we are going to talk about this with our daughter because this is her new reality.”
She continued, “We’re learning as well and not always getting it totally right, but the idea is always two homes filled with love. I’m like, ‘You got two houses, girl.’”
Turner-Smith shared that the “difficult” part of dealing with her and Jackson calling it quits was “navigating the conversation” with their daughter.
“You got to walk this line between, obviously, being age appropriate and child-centered in the way that you talk about it,” Turner-Smith said. “But also keeping it real, so that she has an understanding of what this means.”
For Turner-Smith, books have become her “favorite tool” for these types of conversations.
“I read her so many books about divorce, about what that means. About what that new world is, about what is supposed to be happening, what’s not supposed to be happening,” Turner-Smith shared. “Children’s books have been helpful as well.”
Jackson, for his part, has been candid about how becoming a parent has been a “self-healing” journey for him.
“People are like, ‘Well, you’re really parenting yourself.’ You’re reparenting and all these things,” he said during an April 2025 episode of the “Dinner’s on Me” podcast. “But until you’re experientially in them, or at least for me, I didn’t really get that until, until frankly some difficult things happen or the divorce happens and it’s like, ‘Oh, right.’”
