Justin and Hailey Bieber lawyered up against the TikTokker who claimed they had an “abusive marriage” fueled by the singer’s alleged “drug addiction.”

The couple’s lawyer, Evan Spiegel, sent social media user Julie Theis a cease-and-desist claiming she “fabricated’ her story about their marriage, per TMZ.

In the letter obtained by the outlet, Spiegel writes that the psychologist has allegedly spread “outrageous false, fabricated and defamatory statements [she] made and disseminated online” via TikTok.

He also claimed she manufactured “a false defamatory narrative concerning our clients and their marriage that were published and widely disseminated,” noting that her “conduct is wrongful, highly damaging, actionable, and exposes [her] to substantial liability.”

Spiegel went on to demand that she “immediately” take down the videos in question, as well as stop posting that the Biebers are in an abusive relationship. If she doesn’t, the couple would have no choice, “but to protect their rights and remedies against you.”

The attorney concluded his letter by reminding Theis she “[acts] at [her] own peril” and to “govern [herself] accordingly.”

The influencer then took to social media to talk about the cease-and-desist letter, which she claims was sent to “silence and intimidate” her. She went on to defend her initial videos, saying that she was merely sharing her opinion, which she’s “legally” entitled to.

“Being offended by the opinions people have does not entitle you to people’s voices,” she said in the video, further calling the letter “elitist” and a “temper tantrum of the rich.”

The TikTokker pointed out that her videos are “clearly opinion-based commentary about relationship dynamics and power.”

She also shared several clips targeted at Hailey, including one of her lounging by the beach with the caption, “Girl whatever.”

In another clip, Theis mouthed along to the audio of the infamous fight between “Real Housewives of Orange County” stars Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, who scream about their opinions.

To really send her message home, she then resurfaced a 2019 Instagram post written by the “Daisy” singer, where he admitted to using hard drugs from the age of 19 and “[abusing] all of [his] relationships,” becoming “resentful, disrespectful to women” and “angry.”

Although she tried to give Justin, 31, the benefit of the doubt by saying he could have changed his ways, she then reflected on his comments towards Hailey when she landed the cover of Vogue.

In May 2025, he admitted via Instagram to telling his wife of almost eight years that she would never land the cover — however, she managed to prove him wrong.

Theis also spoke to TMZ after getting the letter, saying she’s concerned the Biebers are trying to silence her free speech, explaining that she’s allowed to express her opinions without legal intimidation.

“It’s extremely elitist to try to silence opinions just because you disagree. Disagreement is not defamation,” she told the outlet, adding that she’s allegedly been receiving death threats since the start of this drama.

Page Six has reached out to Hailey and Justin’s reps and lawyers for comment, but did not receive any at the time of publication.

The Biebers’ drama with Theis started when she alleged Hailey, 29, is a “tolerant codependent” wife who accepts “abuse” in her marriage in a video about relationships.

Hailey was then accused of resharing the video to her own social media account before she was forced to take to social media to shut down the narrative.

“I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost any video speaking on my relationship,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories Saturday.

“Have a beautiful Saturday!”

The model and Justin — who are parents to son Jack Blues, 1 — have been married since 2018. However, they’ve been forced to continuously shut down split rumors that have run rampant over the years.

The “Baby” crooner’s rep, however, shut down the “exhausting and pitiful” allegations, telling TMZ, “People are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”

The spokesperson also insisted that Justin and Hailey were in a good place after welcoming their son.

At the time, a source also defended the Grammy winner’s recent appearances, explaining he had been spending endless hours in the recording studio while simultaneously caring for his son.
