Justin Baldoni reveals Blake Lively likens her NYC penthouse to ‘Buckingham Palace’
Blake Lively allegedly referred to her New York City penthouse as “Buckingham Palace.”
The actress used to request meetings to be held there while filming 2024’s “It Ends With Us,” according to her former co-star Justin Baldoni.
“She used to call it Buckingham Palace, as she said, because so many celebrities walked through there,” he said while sitting for his deposition in Los Angeles last October, per a transcript obtained by People.
“I think that was her office in her penthouse apartment, which was the place that Ms. Lively requested all of our meetings be.”
Reps for Lively and Baldoni did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Lively’s penthouse has become a focus of conversation in the two stars’ ongoing legal feud after Baldoni, 41, claimed Lively, 38, insisted they take their work meetings there.
Unsealed text messages — which were released earlier this month — revealed that Baldoni said he met Lively at her home to go over revisions to their script. He also claimed that the actress was “setting [him] up for a trap” by refusing to use a body double in “It Ends With Us” sex scenes.
According to November 2024 court filings, Baldoni also wrote in text messages that he was “emotionally paralyzed” after being “ambushed” by Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, at their New York City apartment back in January 2024.
“Ryan was talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me,” Baldoni wrote in a text to actor Rainn Wilson, recalling what he claimed took place one night prior.
“They essentially said that Jamey [Heath] and I are not who we claimed to be and that for us to have a podcast is unsafe because it makes people feel like we are safe.”
Lively filed a formal lawsuit against the director in December 2024 for alleged sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and lost wages.
At the time, Baldoni responded with a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, but the suit has since been tossed.
A trial date for the case has been set for May 18, 2026.
