Kacey Musgraves’ stage bursts into flames at Boston concert
Kacy Musgraves hilariously reacted after fire ignited onstage during a concert in Boston on Friday.
In video circulating on TikTok, the Grammy winner finished performing “Golden Hour” at TD Garden, capped off by a shower of sparks — which appeared to evolve into a small fire in the rafters.
After stopping the performance, Musgraves quipped while looking upwards, “That looks bad. Genuinely, something’s on fire.”
She added, “I have way too much hairspray to be standing under that s–t.”
Musgraves also joked that the fire was “cute” but that it gave her “anxiety.”
“I only like pyro when I know what’s going to happen,” she cracked as she sat on the edge of a platform. “Does anybody have like a bedazzled fire extinguisher anywhere?”
Fans on the social media platform couldn’t resist commenting on the incident, with one person writing, “you can say it is a slow burn.”
Another wrote, “The fact she just continued to stand directly under it 😂😂” while a third remarked, “You set my world on fireeeeee.”
Yet another noted that the small flame “died out [on] its own after three minutes or so.”
A rep for Musgraves did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Saturday.
Musgraves is currently in the midst of her “Middle of Nowhere” tour.
The “Follow Your Arrow” hitmaker, 38, kicked off the tour at the United Center in Chicago last Friday, shocking fans by sitting atop giant floating disco balls in the shape of testicles.
The tour is currently in full swing after the singer mysteriously nixed three tour dates — including opening night — just weeks before she was set to begin.
Musgraves’ brush with fire isn’t the first time she’s experienced a dicey incident during a performance. Back in 2024, the songstress unleashed on an overzealous fan who yanked at her during a show in Florida as she walked through the audience.
“Last night, this Tampa bitch…” Musgraves began in social media footage, addressing the incident that happened the previous night.
“Y’all, I know, I know,” she continued as the audience booed. “She kinda ruined it. She kinda ruined it for everybody. I thought I was gonna have to get real east Texas on her.”
As she pretended to pull off her earrings, she said “Florida goes hard. It felt a little bit like when you type your name and your birth date into the ‘Florida man’ thing and then the Tampa girl popped up.”
Musgraves currently has 31 shows remaining on the tour, which is set to wrap up in the UK in February.
