Kaia Gerber Addresses Lewis Pullman Relationship for the 1st Time: ‘Definitely a Lot Is Being Healed’

Kaia Gerber is addressing her blossoming relationship with Lewis Pullman for the first time.

Appearing on the Wednesday, October 1, episode of the “Therapuss With Jake Shane” podcast, the actress and model opened up about her new man, admitting, “Definitely a lot is being healed in this relationship.”

Host Jake Shane noted that he feels that Gerber, 24, and Pullman, 32, “are healthy” together, prompting the Bottoms star to declare, “I’m gonna cry!”

Gerber then advised listeners to date a friend if they can, suggesting that she and the Thunderbolts actor first got to know each other platonically before their relationship turned romantic.

“I really feel like if you have the opportunity to date a friend, do it, because it just is so much better,” she explained. “I never wanna fight with my friends. I never wanna be mad at my friends. I respect my friends. It just is like a whole other thing, and I think sometimes you forget you like someone when you love them.”

“If you can date your friends, you should, or date someone that you would be friends with anyways,” Gerber continued. “Don’t just date someone because you’re sexually attracted to them or in lust with them. You should sleep with those people, for sure, but you don’t need to make them your partners.”

Before dating Pullman, Gerber was linked to the likes of Pete Davidson, 31, Jacob Elordi, 28, and most recently, Austin Butler, 34.

During Wednesday’s podcast appearance, the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber admitted that she often adapted her personality for her older boyfriends.

“I would completely just change my personality and my values for someone. I always dated people that were older than me, so I was very willing to give up everything,” Gerber said. “I was like, ‘I can show you I love you by completely giving up my life for you,’ which is actually not how you build respect and trust, and is not good in the long run.”

“Because then you start to bring a little bit more of who you really are into the relationship and they’re like, ‘No, I liked that person before,’” she added.

Gerber and Pullman began dating late last year, though they have largely kept their relationship private — until now.

“Kaia and Lewis have actually been together for a while now,” a source told Us Weekly in January. “They started dating in early December [2024]. They kept it under wraps until the news of her and Austin’s split came out. Kaia and Austin have been broken up since October.”

“They run in the same circle and have similar friend groups, and that’s how they were introduced,” the insider told Us. “Kaia likes that this relationship feels low-pressure and that Lewis is a very low-key guy.”
