Kanye West is now facing new allegations claiming he threatened to shave Donda Academy students’ heads and lock them in cages, according to a newly filed lawsuit.

In the lawsuit obtained by The Mirror, former Yeezy employee Trevor Phillips alleged he suffered “severe discrimination, harassment, and retaliation” while working for the Vultures hitmaker. While he was originally hired to work for the rapper’s design company, his duties went on to involve Kanye’s now shut-down school Donda Academy. Phillips said that he was fired in May of last year by the rapper during one of his Sunday Services and has now filed a lawsuit making claims about the rapper’s behaviour at the academy.

The school, which has since been closed, was started by Kanye in 2022 and was an exclusive unaccredited Christian private school for four to 18 year olds. Students and employees that attended the school were required to sign an NDA agreement that prevented them from speaking about the school’s existence, practices, and non-public details.

In the lawsuit, Philips claimed that the 46-year-old artist would “proudly” share anti-Semitic rants in front of the Donda Academy students and created a toxic learning environment for the young kids. According to the documents, Kanye told two of the children that he “wanted to shave their heads” and “intended to put a jail at the school.”

In the lawsuit, Phillips is suing for discrimination, harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and is seeking special damages exceeding $35,000 (£27,600), attorneys’ fees, and is asking for an injunction that would not allow Kanye to open any future schools for students under the age of 18 in California.

The lawsuit went on to accuse Kanye of making anti-Semitic comments, homophobic remarks, and discriminating against his Black employees. Phillips alleged that Kanye said: “Yeah I’m going for the gays! First the Jews, then the gays” and made controversial comments that Bill Gates “controls” homosexuals.

Phillips went on to claim that Kanye also engaged in “incessant inappropriate conduct” at Donda Academy and would show off his “apparent arousal” to employees. In the lawsuit, Phillips made claims about a meeting with the rapper where they were meant to discuss the schools curriculum and horticulture, but the meeting allegedly ended up turning into an “anti-Semitic and bigoted soliloquy-topped off with sexual harassment.”

Phillips went on to claim that despite being a Black man himself, Kanye “treated black employees palpably worse than white employees” at Donda Academy. In one incident his former employee claimed that he witnessed the rapper “commanding” a Black campus security guard to “shave his dreads” or he was going to fire him. The employee reportedly resigned from the position after.

As for his alleged anti-Semitic comments, Philips claimed that while he was getting dinner with Kanye in 2022 at Nobu in California, Kanye went off on a rant against Jewish people calling them “miserly” and praising Adolph Hitler. During the dinner, the rapper reportedly referred to Hitler as “an innovator” and said that the Holocaust was “fake.”

In a statement to Page Six, Phillips’ lawyer said: “By filing this lawsuit, we hope our injured clients’ rights are vindicated, and that the famous artist Mr. West understands that his messages – which we alleged preach discrimination, antisemitism and Hitler-love – have no place in the world.”
