Kate Cassidy shared a sweet tribute to her late boyfriend, Liam Payne, on what would have been the singer’s 32nd birthday.

Cassidy posted a video of herself making a cake for Payne on Instagram on Friday, Aug. 29. The influencer, wearing a white top and matching pants, can be seen getting visibly emotional while mixing the ingredients.

Soundtracked by Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You,” the video ends with Cassidy, 26, blowing out a single candle on the cake and taking a bite of it.

“Happy birthday Liam, I know you still have the sweetest tooth in heaven. I tried my best here but it’s the thought that counts 🙂enjoy ! ❤️,” Cassidy captioned the post.

Cassidy posted a previous tribute to Payne on the platform earlier the same day. The video includes footage of the couple smiling, laughing and enjoying adventures together.

“8.29.93. A special day for the most special soul. I miss you so much. Happy Birthday Liam. I wish we could celebrate together. In the next life I guess❤️,” she captioned the post.

Payne died at age 31 in October after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Cassidy and the former One Direction star had been together for two years at the time of the tragedy.

In February, Cassidy spoke with The Sun about losing Payne, whom she called her “soulmate.”

“I never, ever thought this event would occur,” she told the outlet. “It still doesn’t feel fully real for me that he’s not here. He was the most humble, charming, normal person you could ever hope to come across and genuinely one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life.”

In April, she opened up about grieving the late singer on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, recalling how she had never been to a funeral before Payne’s death.

“When I was trying on my funeral dress, I remember just trying it on, looking in the mirror and … I just started bawling,” she said while on the podcast. “I was like, ‘I was supposed to be trying on my wedding dress.’ I wasn’t supposed to be wearing a black dress. I was supposed to be wearing a white dress, and Liam was supposed to be here with me.”

Cassidy also said that she sees “so many signs” of Payne after his passing.

“I’m such a believer in signs. I believe in manifesting, and I know that he’s with me,” she added, before recounting a story in which she ordered a Happy Meal from McDonald’s shortly after Payne’s death — which was one of his favorite orders — and discovered that the number four was heavily featured the on a game on the back.

“That was immediately the first sign I got from Liam, and the number four symbolizes guidance and support from your angels,” she explained. “This has been such a big part of our relationship. I mean he had the number four initial on his finger. I ended up getting it after he passed away … Every single letter he’s written me, he has ended it with ‘your 444.’ ”
