Kate Middleton sports new eternity ring in Olympics video with Prince William

Kate Middleton’s showing off some new jewels.

The Princess of Wales made a surprise joint appearance with husband Prince William to commend “Team GB” for their hard work in the 2024 Paris Olympics in a video posted to Instagram Sunday, setting royal fans abuzz.

Middleton, 42, wore a well-loved Ralph Lauren Breton stripe top and a delicate gold choker necklace for the social media snippet — but fans quickly zeroed in on her left ring finger, where she replaced her sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring with a seemingly new band.

Some speculated that the bauble could be the old garnet-and-pearl band Prince William gifted the princess while they were dating, combining their birthstones in one piece.

However, that rose gold ring only includes stones halfway around the piece; this one is a true eternity band, with sparkling stones set all the way around.

It’s unclear whether this is a new piece — perhaps another gift from Prince William? — or if it incorporates sapphires, like her famous engagement ring that once belonged to the late Princess Diana.

While the sparkler is certainly worth a second look, it was actually the unshaven Prince of Wales who sparked the most commentary from the clip.

“William is slaying the beard,” one fan quipped.

Another wrote, “I had to watch that again, just to see William’s stubble – wowza! 🙌 … and I’m waaaaaay too old to be writing that! 😀😀😀.”

The video included appearances by other celebrities including Snoop Dogg and David Beckham.

Despite reports that William was expected to attend the Olympics, he and Middleton — who’s still receiving treatment for an unspecified form of cancer — chose to sit out the Games this year.

The pricess did, however, make an appearance at Wimbledon last month, clad in a vibrant purple Safiyaa dress, and sources previously told Page Six she would retreat from public life again shortly afterward.

Whenever she decides to resume her royal duties again, royal fans will surely be ready for another glimpse at her new bling.
