Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are hanging out.

PEOPLE has learned the pop star and the former Canadian prime minister stepped out for a meal together in Montréal on Monday, July 28, just one month after the former ended her engagement with Orlando Bloom.

Perry, 40, and Trudeau, 53, were seen eating at neighborhood restaurant Le Violon, PEOPLE can confirm. The duo met with Chef Danny Smiles during dinner and headed to the kitchen after their meal to thank the staff.

According to TMZ, Perry and Trudeau enjoyed cocktails and several dishes, including one that featured lobster.

A rep for Perry has not commented. PEOPLE has attempted to reach Trudeau for comment.

In June, PEOPLE confirmed that Perry and Bloom, 48, ended their engagement and broke up after nine years of an on-and-off romance and six years after the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s proposal.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE weeks later, their reps spoke out about the breakup, saying that the couple had been “shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.”

They added that the former couple would continue to show a united front for the sake of their 4½-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, who remains their priority.

Days after news of their split was confirmed, Perry and Bloom were seen vacationing on a yacht off of Italy’s Amalfi Coast alongside Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos on July 6.

Meanwhile, Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire announced they were going their separate ways in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The couple — who share children Xavier, 17, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11 — said it was an amicable split.

In an Instagram post published in both English and French at the time, Trudeau wrote: “Hi everyone, Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversation, we have made the decision to separate.”

He added: “As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build. For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy. Thank you.”
