Katy Perry wants to be there for her fans.
The “Teenage Dream” singer, 40, welcomed a few concertgoers on stage during her Lifetimes Tour stop at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Sunday, Aug. 3, and after one of them collapsed on the ground in a startling moment, Perry stayed by her side to ensure she was safe.
Perry seemed to notice the fan, whose name is McKenna, was undergoing some intense feelings as she handed what appeared to be shaker instruments to each of the chosen audience members.
“Let’s practice. You got this, and let’s breathe,” said the superstar, per a video shared to social media.
McKenna then fell to the ground, and Perry knelt down to support her head until medics arrived to help. The Grammy-nominated artist soon brought the rest of the onstage fans together for a prayer.
“Dear God, we pray for McKenna, that she will come back fully and brighter and better than ever. Amen,” she said in another video, later speaking about the “overwhelming” nature of getting up on stage in front of thousands of people.
“It’s so much,” said Perry, per The Independent. “Sometimes you’re so brave and you can get on stage, and it’s overwhelming. I understand that feeling.”
Later in the show, the outlet reported, Perry told the crowd, “McKenna’s doing great, by the way.”
The Lifetimes Tour continues with its North American leg through Aug. 23 in Miami before heading overseas for shows in South America, Europe and Asia.

Perry’s July 30 show in Montreal was attended by former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau — after they spent time together in the city two days beforehand.
Their outing came after Perry’s recent split from Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove.
Trudeau, 53, was seen in the crowd wearing a casual black T-shirt as he smiled while watching the singer’s performance, even singing along to some of her hits.
