Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant sure know how to have an adorable date night.
The couple shared snapshots — and a cinematic video — on ice skates in front of New York City’s famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree via Grant’s Instagram Tuesday, Jan. 13.
“Last Monday, after the run of Waiting for Godot, Keanu invited me on a date in New York City,” wrote the visual artist, 52, in her caption.
Reeves, 61, made his Broadway debut this past fall opposite his Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure costar Alex Winter in the Samuel Beckett play revival, which closed on Jan. 4.
Grant proceeded to “give a shout out” to the “skating community” and the Rockefeller Center ice rink, where she and her boyfriend evidently enjoyed smooching while posing for the photos. In her video, Grant and Reeves can be seen holding hands and wobbling on their skates while the camera swivels around the cute pair.

“You made us feel right at home, cheering us on, and offering us hot cocoa and pompom hats,” Grant continued in her caption. “Thank you, too, to the folks behind the scenes who made this special night happen.”
The artist also used her post to root for those competing in the upcoming Milan Winter Olympics.
“And cheers to the next rocking generation of skaters and Olympians! We’re inspired by how you’re choosing to train and eat on your terms, what music you prefer, your awesome style choices, finding joy in a sport that requires so many hours of practice to perfect,” she wrote. “We’re rooting for you @milanocortina2026!”
Grant included a quote attributed to Alysa Liu — “Connections with people—that’s the most important thing in life. It overrides everything.” — and agreed, writing, “always yes to connecting! Yes to joy, yes to getting out there even when beyond tired, yes to trying something new, yes to doing it your way, and staying open to surprise!”
The Matrix star and Grant have been linked since 2011 and made their romance public in 2019. They co-founded X Artists Books, a small imprint, in 2017.
Although selective about where they spend their time, as a source told PEOPLE in 2024, Reeves has brought his girlfriend to several red carpet events, including for his June 2025 movie From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.
Also recently posted on Grant’s Instagram was her New Year celebration with the Good Fortune actor at New York City venue Joe’s Pub with Sandra Bernhard. “Here’s to 2026 and more sweet moments together!” wrote Grant.
Reeves’ next film is Jonah Hill’s Outcome, which also stars Hill and Cameron Diaz.
