Kelly Osbourne has broken her silence on dad Ozzy Osbourne’s death at 76 years old.

Ozzy’s family confirmed his death on Tuesday, July 22.

Ozzy Osbourne sold more than 100 million records worldwide between his solo career and his days as a member of Black Sabbath prior to his death in 2025. The England native got his start in 1967 when he joined bassist Geezer Butler’s first band, Rare Breed, as a vocalist. Although the group didn’t last long, […]

One week before her father’s death, Kelly fired back at a social media user who claimed that she didn’t “understand how Parkinson’s disease works” because she had publicly denied that Ozzy was “dying.”

“This is the s*** I wake up to,” Kelly wrote on her Instagram Story on July 14 alongside a screenshot of the DM she had received from the troll. “Wtf is wrong with people?”

“Believe me I fully understand how this works,” she continued. “Your message is incredibly rude. So firstly I want to tell you to go f*** yourself! He is not in stage 5!!! That is not the way his kind of Parkinson’s works.”

Ozzy revealed that he had Parkinson’s disease in 2020.

“It’s been terribly challenging for us all,” he told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America at the time. “I did my last show New Year’s Eve at The Forum. Then I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves.”

Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, explained, “It’s PRKN 2. There’s so many different types of Parkinson’s. It’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it’s like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day.”

Ozzy, who underwent surgery to treat his illness in 2022, offered an update on his health in May.

“You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong. You begin to think this is never going to end,” he told The Guardian, revealing that Sharon, 72, had organized a final Black Sabbath show to “give me a reason to get up in the morning.”

Ozzy performed with the band at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on July 5. Kelly, who attended the concert and got engaged to partner Sid Wilson backstage, thanked fans for supporting her father in an emotional Instagram video.

“Thank you to everyone who came to the show last night, thank you to everybody who was involved in the show last night. You have no idea what it did for my dad,” she said. “It was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life, and if I keep talking, I’m probably going to end up crying again. So, that’s all I’ll say for now. Thank you.”

In addition to Kelly, Ozzy and Sharon shared daughter Aimee, 41, and son Jack, 39.
