Lamar Odom’s ex-wife, Khloé Kardashian, is sitting down to share her perspective in Netflix’s Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom.

The doc’s trailer — which dropped Tuesday, March 3 — begins with Odom’s 2015 near-fatal overdose in a legal Nevada brothel. “I had 12 strokes and six heart attacks. That’s not no average s***,” Odom, 46, said.

Kardashian, 41, was then heard saying that Los Angeles Lakers games, where Odom played for seven seasons, was “the center of the universe.” A friend of Odom’s noted that the former NBA player was living a “rockstar lifestyle” in the early days of his career.

“That first hit of cocaine was amazing,” he added. “But you unlock a vault that you can’t really control,” Odom said.

Another person in the trailer noted that Odom “did love” Kardashian, but he “wanted to be on reality TV.”

“When you’re calling it addiction, there’s always going to be embarrassment. I was out all night partying. I didn’t want to stop,” Odom reflected, while Kardashian added, “He would escape rehab and go on a drug bender and no one could find him. I just felt such a responsibility to cover this up and protect him.”

As several clips and images from Odom’s life appeared on the screen, including a picture of Odom hospitalized. “The afterlife is not what people make it out to be,” Odom said before the trailer came to a close.

Odom made headlines in 2015 when he suffered a near-fatal overdose in Las Vegas that left him comatose. After initially filing for divorce in 2013, Kardashian withdrew her divorce petition to serve as Odom’s caretaker amid his health issue. She refiled for divorce after Odom recovered and the proceedings were finalized in 2016.

“I wanted to get out and have a good time,” Odom exclusively told Us Weekly in 2017. “Looking back, I might have had a drink to get the mood started, but was I drunk or on drugs? Not at all. I remember lying in bed. Two women were in bed and then I fell asleep. That’s all. When I woke up four days later, I was trying to pull the tubes out of my mouth.”

Us confirmed in January that Odom was arrested for driving under the influence, speeding and executing an improper lane change. He was released on bail several hours later.

“After a recent incident, he took a step back to reflect and address triggers he’s been dealing with,” manager Gina Rodriguez told Us in a statement last month. “He’s taking full responsibility and choosing to be proactive about his wellbeing. Lamar is grateful for the support and is committed to moving forward in a healthy, positive way.”

Odom went on to check into a rehab program in Los Angeles, which Us confirmed he left in February.

“He’s out of rehab as of this afternoon. He was there for 30 days,” his rep told Us in a statement. “He went to stop smoking marijuana completely and he was afraid it might lead to something else. He wanted to reset. He looks amazing and feels amazing.”

Untold premieres on Netflix March 31.
