Kim Kardashian defends daughter North West’s fake face tattoos, piercings

Kim Kardashian has responded after her daughter North West’s fake face tattoos and piercings received backlash online.

West, 12, recently shared a bold look on TikTok, sporting ink consisting of a star under her right eye and her name written in cursive on her left cheek. She styled her long blue hair in braids and also rocked a faux septum ring and black grillz over her teeth.

After Daily Mail Australia shared a TikTok video with the headline “North West, 12, worries fans with new look,” Kardashian responded with a comment from the kimandnorth joint TikTok account.

“This is such a non-issue 😭,” she wrote.

Fans also defended West in the comments, with one user writing, “So glad social media wasn’t around when i was going through my teen experimental discovering myself phase.The internet is crazy man.”

Another commenter wrote, “Big news for unemployed childless people: north west is going through a pre teen phase.”

“She’s a kid playing dress up w her friends…. where is the problem,” another supporter wrote.

In the TokTok videos West shared, she and two of her friends were styled similarly as they rode in a private jet together.

Despite the negative comments on the look, it hasn’t stopped the mother-daughter duo from having fun on the app. On Friday, they posted themselves dancing while sporting wigs. Kris Jenner also got in on the fun, shooting water guns with Kardashian and West.

Kardashian previously defended her eldest child’s right to express herself — though she acknowledged they made a “mistake” — when she received criticism for West wearing a corset top and a miniskirt while on a family vacation in Italy.

“It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,” Kardashian said during her “Call Me Daddy” appearance earlier this month. “But then my daughter tries to wear it, and then I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

The mother of four, 45, said that at the end of the day, she knew West was “such a good girl and such a sweet girl.”

“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” she added. “You know, it makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.”

“I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can,” Kardashian, who shares daughters North and Chicago, 7, as well as sons Saint, 9, and Psalm, 6, with her ex-husband Kanye West, said.
