Kim Kardashian’s new show ‘Group Chat’ rejected by Hulu

Kim Kardashian’s latest TV gig has hit a snag.

The reality star’s new comedy pilot, “Group Chat,” has failed to find space at Hulu — nearly two years into its development.

Variety reported last Friday that Kardashian and La La Anthony’s project, based on the latter’s “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex and Happiness” book, was rejected by the streaming platform.

The 45-year-old was set to narrate “Group Chat” and serve as an executive producer.

When the show was announced in August 2024, Kardashian gushed that she was “incredibly interested in telling stories that are personal, complicated [and] relevant from [her] own experiences and those familiar to [her].”

Anthony, 43, dubbed the series — starring herself, Yaya DaCosta, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Melanie Liburd and Stephanie Suganami — “fun and relatable” during the “Vibes & Views” podcast the following year.

“I’m super excited,” she said in June 2025. “Kim and I had always wanted to do something together, but it had to be the right thing. One day I said, ‘You’ve got this deal at Hulu — what are we doing? Let’s sell this show.’ That’s how ‘Group Chat’ was born.”

Although the project has since been scrapped, the pals will, instead, executive produce an untitled comedy series by Tracy Oliver, according to Variety.

The show follows “the Bay Area’s most sought-after crisis manager for professional athletes” as
“her own life [is] upended by her husband’s scandal.”

The character, per the series’ logline, “turns to the three women who’ve been by her side through every version of her life [and] together they navigate dating, ambition, motherhood and the glamorous mess of starting over.”

Reps for Hulu, Kardashian and Anthony did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

Kardashian has been on TV since 2007 as a cast member of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and “The Kardashians,” tackling her first scripted role in “Disaster Movie” the following year.

Her subsequent projects included “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” and two “Paw patrol” films.

The Skims creator’s acting career took a turn when she nabbed parts in Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story: Delicate” and “All’s Fair” series.

Her upcoming projects include the “Bratz” movie as a villain, as well as Eva Longoria’s “Fifth Wheel” comedy alongside Will Ferrell, Nikki Glaser, Brenda Song and Fortune Feimster.

Kardashian’s sister Kylie Jenner also recently tried her hand at acting in Charli XCX’s “The Moment” — and told Kid Cudi on his “Big Bro” podcast last week that she “totally” sees herself doing more.

“I don’t know where I’m going with this,” the makeup mogul, 28, admitted to listeners. “I like making people laugh and showing my personality.”
