King Charles could ‘easily’ see Prince Harry in London after wayward son spent a month trying to get a meeting: sources

King Charles could have “easily” found time to see Prince Harry while he’s in London, according to well-placed sources.
Harry, 39, is in London ahead of the 10th anniversary celebrations for the Invictus Games.
Page Six can reveal that Harry had been reaching out for over a month to organize a meet-up with his cancer-stricken dad, only to be turned down.
But on Tuesday, Harry’s rep confirmed that his father was too busy to see him.
However, Hugo Vickers, noted royal historian and friend of the royal family, told Page Six: “If the king wanted to see Harry, he would find time very easily. You can never be too busy to see your son.
“It’s a good idea if they do meet to forge some kind of reconciliation.”
Vickers said there would be points in the king’s diary that he could open up for his youngest son, including breakfast.
“The king has left the door wide open but obviously not that wide,” a royal source said of a possible reconciliation. “But they absolutely can stuff things in his diary and juggle things around.”
Harry — who is in London without his wife Meghan Markle — last saw Charles in February after making the dash from California to the UK after his father was diagnosed with cancer.
They had a brief meeting that lasted only about 30 minutes.
A senior royal source told us, “We don’t know how that meeting went, but I do know that the king was exhausted from chemotherapy and really keen to get off to Balmoral.
“He was desperate to be on his way and was delayed until Harry turned up.”
We revealed how Harry invited his family, including his estranged brother, Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, to the Invictus ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday, but no senior royals are attending the service.
In the Tuesday statement, a rep for Harry said father and son would not be able to meet, due to His Majesty’s full program, adding, “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
The king’s busy schedule includes his weekly audience with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as well as the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season on Wednesday.
Harry — who flew to London Monday night after celebrating his son Archie’s 5th birthday — is expected to give a reading at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday, marking a decade since the inaugural Invictus Games took place in the capital.
As Page Six previously reported, Harry and William have not spoken for over a year.
“William is a hop, skip and a jump from the throne, with an ill wife and three young children — he has plenty on his plate, ” said the royal source of why William will not attend this week’s Invictus event.
