The season closes with Leanne holding her new grandchild, telling her, “Turns out your grandmom was a lot stronger than she ever knew. Life can take twists and turns, but sometimes it’s the only way to find out who you are really are.”

In an August 2025 TV Insider interview, when asked about the future of the show, Morgan said, “Yes, I hope it goes a second season.” Her costar, Johnston, teased, “It’s definitely set up to hopefully continue.”

“Whether it’s romantic or a job, you know, she’s tended to her family all of her life, put everybody else first,” Morgan continued. “I want people to see what she’s gonna do.”
