Love Is Blind’s Madison Reveals What She Did With Engagement Ring After Joe Breakup: ‘No Question’

Love Is Blind season 9 star Madison Maidenberg has revealed what she did with her engagement ring after Joe Ferrucci hastily called off their wedding after shopping for a tux.

During a Thursday, October 16, appearance on the “Love to See It” podcast, Madison, 28, was asked point-blank whether she kept the diamond ring.

“I did, yes,” Madison stated. “No question about where the ring goes at this point.”

Madison and Joe, 29, got engaged sight unseen in the Love Is Blind pods, but their relationship was tested when they got back into the real world. Joe ultimately broke up with the UX designer just days before their wedding, citing that Madison wasn’t The One.

In the latest batch of episodes, Joe stumbled through the cast’s tux fitting before abruptly leaving — with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” playing in the background. In the next scene, Madison tearfully tells her family that Joe just left while packing her suitcase.

“[There’s] a part you don’t see in that conversation, where it’s, like, I’m having the resolve of everything that I’ve been experiencing through our whole relationship come into focus,” Madison explained on the “Love to See It” podcast, referring to the now-exes’ discussion about ending their relationship. “It’s kind of a culmination of, ‘OK, this is actually who you’ve been this whole time, and I was just idealizing you.’”

The conversation eventually got to a place where Madison realized that Joe “wasn’t choosing” her as a partner.

“I want and deserve to be chosen, and in the pods I felt so chosen,” Madison said. “I felt so wanted, and I hadn’t felt that literally since [the] reveal. It was kind of, like, ‘Alright, it’s time for me to be real with myself and stop being such a lover girl and really allow the curtain to come down.’”

During their breakup conversation, Madison decided it was time to take off her diamond ring.

“I guess the moment that I felt like it was truly done was when I took my ring off,” she said. “I was like, ‘I guess, I shouldn’t be wearing this anymore. This conversation isn’t going to go anywhere else. I’m not going to get any answers to this, and I need to begin my healing journey.’”

Love Is Blind season 9 star Joe Ferrucci is cringing along with the audience while watching the Netflix show back. “I’ve cooled down on drinking substantially to where I’m not making a fool out of myself every week,” Joe told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview on Friday, October 10. In the first batch of […]

As for Joe, he reiterated to Us Weekly that he and Madison just weren’t the right fit.

“It seemed Madison was all in and what you would want in a person. I, on the other hand, had some concerns, nervous, scared, anxious. I never saw that coming from Madison,” he exclusively told Us earlier this week. “I think it scared me seeing that as well, and I know she wanted to keep on with the experiment, go through, get as much as you can out of it, in the way of, ‘Is this my person?’ More time for discovering that. I think there was a certain breaking point for me where I couldn’t go on any longer.”

Joe ultimately hit that “breaking point” in the middle of the tux shopping excursion.

“I definitely crashed out. At that certain point, [I’m thinking], ‘Why am I going through these motions if I have in my head that, ultimately, I’m not going to be able to say yes on that wedding day?’” Joe recalled. “It felt a little faulty on my part, and I could have handled it better. That’s the story of my experiment on TV. It just felt disingenuous on my part to even be there, if I didn’t think we had enough time to get there or if I knew this wasn’t my person.”

Love Is Blind is currently streaming on Netflix. New episodes drop weekly.
