Love Is Blind’s Sara and Joey Fuel Dating Rumors as They’re Spotted in N.Y.C. After Shutting Down Romance Speculation

  • Love Is Blind season 8 stars Sara Carton and Joeye Leveille were reportedly spotted out together in New York City on May 4
  • The pair previously sparked romance rumors after both of their respective engagements from the show were broken off
  • Carton previously denied the two were dating, but said she couldn’t rule out a future romantic connection

Sara Carton and Joey Leveille are once again sparking romance rumors.

The pair, who documented their engagements to other people following an initial connection with one another on season 8 of Love Is Blind, were spotted enjoying a night out together at Ethyl’s Bar & Restaurant in the Upper East Side area of New York City on Sunday, May 4.

In footage obtained by TMZ, Carton and Leveille were reportedly seen drinking with a friend until around 1:30 a.m., when the outlet reported they left the restaurant together.

This comes after Carton addressed speculation that she and Leveille were dating during an appearance on The Viall Files podcast in March.

“I’ve seen this a few times online in the past 24 hours — to be clear, me and Joey are not dating,” she said, later adding, “I definitely have no capacity to even think about a relationship.”

The interview aired days after fans saw her say no to then-fiancé Ben Mezzenga at the altar in the Netflix show’s dramatic season 8 finale.

“There was a love square between me, Monica [Danús], Ben and Joey,” she acknowledged. “We were all talking to each other until the second to last day in the pods. Of course, naturally in that situation and that circumstance, you do connect with people. I feel like me and Joey did establish a really great friendship.”

Ultimately, Carton and Mezzenga left the pods engaged, as did Leveille and Danús. Both weddings ended with the women saying “I don’t” at their weddings. In the aftermath of the breakup, Carton clarified that she wasn’t ready to jump into anything new.

It wasn’t until five months after filming wrapped that she reconnected with Mezzenga when he visited her in Nashville with some friends. Although she claimed things between them were platonic, she also understood where the curiosity was coming from.

“We called ourselves the Yee-Haw Crew. It’s such a good time, it’s all from the cast,” she shared. “We grew really, really close with each other just because of the support for each other, knowing what we’ve all been through, and being able to be there for one another has been super important to me.”

Although a new relationship wasn’t in the cards for Carton at the time, she did admit that she couldn’t rule out a potential romantic connection with Mezzenga in the future.

“I just overall, with this whole situation, I feel close with Joey,” she explained. “I’m fond of our relationship, but I feel very well-supported by everyone involved. I’m just very grateful that I’ve met him. We definitely have a friendship. We’re definitely not dating.”

“I don’t know what the future will hold,” she then teased.
