Love Island USA‘s JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez are breaking their silence on their shocking split.

Craig, 28, took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 29, to share a statement addressed to her followers, whom she called “my loves.”

“Thank you for all your love & support. It means the world to me,” she began. “As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together. Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is.”

“Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating,” Craig continued. “Thank you for respecting my privacy and please know as a child of God, I will always be okay.”

Shortly after, Rodriguez shared his own statement to his Instagram Story.

In his statement, the reality star said the “past few days have been incredibly difficult.”

“I’ve been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately,” he wrote. “Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term.”

He concluded his note by saying: “I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created. I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa’s path forward brings her nothing but happiness.”

Things then escalated shortly after Rodriguez put out his statement, which Craig was not pleased with.

In another statement on her Instagram Story, she wrote “stfu you manipulative liar. You are not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!!”

She added: “My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off”

PEOPLE has reached out to Rodriguez for comment.

A source confirmed to PEOPLE on Monday, July 28, that the fan-favorite duo from Love Island USA season 6 were no longer together.

“There was no big, public blowout,” the source said, referring to online speculation that the former lovebirds got into a fight at David Dobrik’s birthday party on Saturday, July 26, which they attended together. “That did not happen.”

The source explained that Craig broke up with Rodriguez, 25, the following morning and added, “They will not be getting back together.”

Craig and Rodriguez came in third place on Love Island USA season 6 last summer.

Despite their breakup, the pair are currently appearing on the Love Island USA spinoff Love Island: Beyond the Villa, which follows the duo — alongside other season 6 standouts — as they navigate life and love in Los Angeles.

Also on the inaugural season of the spinoffs are couples Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi, exes Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans, and singles Connor Newsum, Kendall Washington and Olivia “Liv” Walker. Serena Page is also part of the cast, as well as her boyfriend, Kordell Beckham.
