Love It or List It Is Getting a New Designer After 19 Seasons Following Hilary Farr’s Exit (Exclusive)
A new HGTV designer is taking the reins on Love It or List It!
Following longtime co-host Hilary Farr’s announcement that she was leaving the show in 2023 after 19 seasons, the long-running HGTV series is officially welcoming a fresh (but familiar!) face.
PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the new designer taking over for Farr is HGTV star Page Turner. In the upcoming 20th season, set to premiere this summer, fans will now follow Turner as she attempts to convince fed-up homeowners to stay in their current house by giving the property a life-changing renovation.
Meanwhile, the series’ longtime co-host and real estate agent, David Visentin, will work against Turner to find move-in ready properties for the homeowners to relocate to, just like the original format of the show.
Turner has plenty of experience when it comes to stunning home renovations and a little friendly competition.
Fans got to see her competitive side when she went head-to-head against her fellow HGTV designers on two seasons of Rock the Block.
She also starred in Flip or Flop: Nashville — the Tennessee-based spin-off of Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa’s hit house flipping show — alongside her ex DeRon Jenkins. Viewers may also recognize her from her solo series, Fix My Flip, which premiered in 2022.
“Her extensive background in real estate and design will be a superpower as she enters into this celebrated real estate rivalry,” says Loren Ruch, Head of Content for HGTV. “We cannot wait to watch her give David a run for his money.”
Turner’s Love It or List It debut comes more than a year after Hilary Farr revealed she was leaving the series after 15 years, PEOPLE exclusively revealed in December 2023.
“I’ve given it so many years of my life,” Farr told PEOPLE at the time of the show, which premiered in 2008. “It’s got me through hard times. It’s got the audiences through hard times. It has evolved into a mainstay of people’s lives and it’s been incredibly gratifying. But now it’s time for me to move on and meet new challenges.”
Farr, whose solo series Tough Love with Hilary Farr premiered in 2021, said she would miss “everything” about working with Visentin, but emphasized how their longtime friendship wasn’t going to “just disappear because we’re not working together.”
Visentin stayed right by her side when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014, and underwent three lumpectomies and radiation while continuing to film Love It or List It.
“I was working all the way through cancer and David was always there,” she says, adding that “this show has encompassed a divorce, cancer, my son getting married, my son having three children, my long-term relationship breaking up.”

While Farr didn’t know at the time if Love It or List It would continue without her, she did offer her potential replacement her best wishes: “I wish them all the luck in the world, and I would probably tune in and watch it.”
Season 20 of Love It or List It is set to premiere on HGTV this summer.
