Luann de Lesseps Shares Updates on Who Gifted Giant Ring on Her Wedding Finger, Love Hotel’s James

Luann de Lesseps is sharing new details about her love life following the conclusion of Bravo’s Love Hotel.

The Sunday, June 15, finale of the reality dating show saw Luann, 60, check out with suitor James Quine, 62. Just weeks earlier, however, Luann sparked engagement speculation when she was spotted wearing a diamond sparkler on her wedding finger and packing on the PDA with a mystery man in the Hamptons.

At the time, Luann played coy to Us Weekly about who gave her the ring. “I will say that I got a brand new ring, and I’m a very happy girl,” she told Us. “And that’s all I can say about that for now.”

In Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Luann gave more details about her new piece of jewelry — revealing that it didn’t come from James.

“It is an aquamarine [ring]. It was a gift from one of my admirers, that’s all I’m gonna say,” she said, confirming that the suitor is not her Love Hotel costar. “The key is from James,” she added, touching a gold necklace with a key pendant on it.

When host Andy Cohen pressed Luann on why she was wearing the ring on her wedding finger, the Real Housewives of New York City alum said that “it doesn’t fit this one,” referring to her right hand.

According to Luann, James is all for Luann keeping her options open.

“You know what I love about James?” Luann told Cohen. “He said to me, ‘You know, Lu, I live in Hawaii, I can’t be there with you all the time. It is totally OK if you date, and when we see each other, we see each other, because I love you, Lu.’”

Luann shared that she was drawn to James’ “love of life and he lives his inner child,” adding, “I feel like a 9-year-old girl when I’m with him.”

The two bonded on Love Hotel over their aristocratic backgrounds. On the show, James said that his stepmother was a close friend of Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly, while Luann was previously married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps.

“My father-in-law was ambassador of Monaco for 40 years and his stepmother was the best friend of Grace Kelly,” Luann explained on Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live, referring to Count Alexandre’s father. “They were both at the wedding of Rainier to Princess Grace. So we connected that way.”

Luann’s love life has played out in the public eye since she joined The Real Housewives of New York City, on which she appeared from seasons 1 to 13. She was married to Alexandre from 1993 to 2009. Luann tied the knot with Tom D’Agostino Jr. in 2016 before they called it quits in 2017.
