Married at First Sight fans are all saying the same thing about Eden and Jayden – as they’re slammed for “lying” about Jayden’s participation in the drama.
Eden Harper and her husband Jayden Eynaud accused Sara Mesa of cheating on her husband Tim Calwell in a dramatic confrontation, as they told Sara to tell Tim what she had “been up to” the previous weekend.
Eden and Jayden showed a united front as the pair called Sara out, however, fans have been left confused as Eden said Jayden had “seen the texts”, but in the previous episode, the bride was shown revealing the secret to her husband at the couple’s retreat and admitted they lied.
When Sara had revealed to Eden she was secretly meeting up with her ex, Eden admitted she battled extreme anxiety over the situation, and revealed the bombshell secret to her husband while at the retreat. The messages claimed that Sara was meeting up with her and asked Eden if she could “borrow something cute”. Sara implied it was to be kept a secret and wrote “Shhh” in the message.
Eden and Jayden forced Sara to tell Tim what she had done, as they told Sara Jayden had seen the messages himself, but the truth was that Eden had confided in her husband during picnic alone while at the retreat. Jayden was shocked by the allegations and demanded they tell Tim straight away.
When they finally told Sara to confess, they sat Sara and Tim down to tell him about the scandal, telling the couple Jayden had read the texts himself. People then took to social media to share their confusion. One fan shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that said: “Eden making out Jayden accidentally saw the Sara texts, when she actually told him about them,” followed by a raised eyebrow emoji.
Another penned: “Still a little confused about Eden’s story because if I’m remembering right it wasn’t until her and Jayden spoke to Sara & Tim at the dinner party that she mentioned that Jayden saw her phone when she got the texts? Because we saw her telling Jayden about the texts at the retreat?”
A third chimed: “Wait Eden told Jayden about the texts during the retreat now it’s Jayden was beside me when she was texting Sara? #MAFSAU.”
Eden then admitted she lied about Jayden reading the texts and called it a “mess-up” as she spoke to K ROCK 95.5’s Tom, Lingy & Loggy on March 7 and said: “That was a mess up on my behalf… I shouldn’t have said that…You’ll see this play out later on the show.”
She said she lied while “scared” about how Sara and the other cast members would react, and said she needed Jayden there for “back up”. She also added that she was “overthinking” and “wanted to feel safe” with what was about to happen.
