Mama June Shannon and Family Honor Late Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell on ‘Heavenly’ 32nd Birthday

Mama June Shannon and additional family members honored her late daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, on what would have been her 32nd birthday.

“Happy heavenly birthday to Anna as we go to Colorado to celebrate alana 21st u will b there with us,” Mama June, 47, captioned a TikTok video uploaded on Friday, August 28. “We miss u everyday some days are harder [than] others.”

Anna, who died in December 2023, shared a birthday with younger sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson.

Mama June added that Anna’s eldest daughter, Kaitlyn, suggested that the family make a video highlighting the major milestones in their lives since Anna died. (In addition to Kaitlyn, Anna was also mom to another daughter, Kylee.)

“But Katy P wanted us to make a video to let you [know] all the things we have been doing,” the caption continued. “But we know you r always with us helping us raise Katy P as she is so much like you.”

Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon kicked off the video, sharing that she and ex Shyann McCann got “married and divorced.” Jessica, 29, gave a positive update that she made her “first big girl purchase and got a car.” Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird also got divorced but she has been “really successful” on OnlyFans as she is now “debt-free.”

Meanwhile, Kaitlyn “got into high school” and “graduated middle school with all “As and Bs” since her mom’s death. Lauryn’s daughter Ella won her first soccer championship.

Mama June, for her part, celebrated Kaitlyn’s accomplishments and joked that she “survived teenage years” with her. (Mama June received full legal custody of her granddaughter following Anna’s death while Kylee lives with her father.)

The Mama June: Family Crisis star also shared that she decided that she needs “to purchase a house and stay closer to the kids.”

While Alana, 21, was not present with her family when they filmed the video, the aspiring nurse also participated in the trend as she filmed her own clip. Alana celebrated making it to her final year of college and getting her “first-ever job at the hospital.”

At the end of the clip, the women blew out the candles and wished Anna a happy birthday.

Anna died two years ago following a battle with stage IV adrenal carcinoma.

“With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us. She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 p.m.,” Mama June wrote via an Instagram statement at the time. “She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t and we will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today. We love y’all and continued prayers and thoughts for our family doing this difficult time.”
