‘Mama + Tata’ influencer Candice Miller is leaving NYC, rebuilding in Miami after husband’s suicide

Candice Miller is making a new start with her kids in Miami, it seems.
The widow has been the talk of the Hamptons this summer after her financier husband Brandon died by suicide, apparently because the family was in secret financial straits.
Candice had built a successful social media brand, Mama + Tata, around her luxurious, globetrotting mommy lifestyle, and the family’s fall from grace has become something of a spectator event out East.
The account had flaunted the family’s apparent wealth and famous friends, including fitness guru Tracy Anderson, stylist Rachel Zoe and fellow fabulous influencer Arielle Charnas.
Even the New York Times has been rubber-necking, publishing a lengthy piece entitled “How an Instagram-Perfect Life in the Hamptons Ended In Tragedy” last week.
On Monday real estate bible the Real Deal reported that Candice has put their “debt-ridden” Hamptons estate on the market for $15 million.
Now sources tell Page Six that she and their two young daughters are headed for a new life in Florida.
“She’s over in New York,” said an insider, “She’s moving to Miami before school starts and has enrolled her kids in a Miami school.”
The couple had sold their Tribeca pad in 2021 and had been renting on the Upper East Side.
Brandon had made an attempt on his own life in the garage of their home in July, and was treated in Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for several days before eventually succumbing.
He had been a managing partner of REEC — a company founded by his late father, Michael, in 1978.
The Times reported that, “A suicide note indicated he had killed himself while his wife and children were on vacation on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, according to a Suffolk County law enforcement official. He said Mr. Miller wrote that a business deal he had hoped would ease the family’s financial strain had collapsed.”
If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or text Crisis Text Line at 741741.
