Margaret Qualley is ready to take on her next role… as Cupid!

During her guest appearance on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday, the actress revealed that she tried to set up her mom, Andie MacDowell, with Bill Murray, whom she met backstage before going live.

“Bill Murray, literally tonight, he pops into my backstage dressing room,” Qualley, 30, told host Jimmy Fallon. “He’s wearing a Piggly Wiggly shirt. And I grew up in North Carolina, and Piggly Wiggly’s a Southern thing.”

“I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, Piggly Wiggly!’ Then, cut to, I found out he’s living in Charleston. My mom’s living in Charleston,” the “Substance” star continued.

After telling Murray, 74, that he and her mom, 67, live in the same city, he hit her with some bad news. Apparently, the Hollywood stars didn’t get along while filming their 1993 movie, “Groundhog Day.”

“I’m gonna give you the tea. He was like, ‘You know, your mom and I — we didn’t get along so good while we were making that movie,’” the “Maid” star recalled of her conversation with Murray.

“He was like, ‘She took a lot of time to get her hair done, and she didn’t know her lines this one time.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, well, I heard a different story, sir.’”

“I’m putting two and two together. He’s living in Charleston. She’s living in Charleston. They’ve got this kind of rage towards each other, but maybe he’s trying to make amends,” Qualley explained.

“And I’m like, ‘She’s single, he’s single. They’re both crazy. Let’s get it together!’”

The actress told Fallon that she hoped to see Murray again after the show wrapped so that she could continue playing matchmaker.

“I said to come circle back and get my number if he wants to connect with my mom. And, you know, if he’s got any sense at all, he’d be the luckiest guy in the world!”

“Of course he would be,” the late-night host agreed, to which Qualley replied, “I hope he’s listening right now. Hi, Bill!”

No word yet on whether Qualley set up an official date for MacDowell and Murray, but Page Six has reached out to their reps for comment.

Back in January, MacDowell revealed that she moved from Los Angeles to Charleston to fill the “huge void” in her life now that she’s an empty nester.

“I’m happier now than I have been in a long time,” she shared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” at the time, noting that she has been “taking really good care of” herself while living on her own.

In addition to Margaret, MacDowell also shares son Justin Qualley and daughter Rainey Qualley with ex-husband Paul Qualley.

She admitted that “it took [her] forever” to get to this place, as her kids have always been such an “important” part of her day-to-day life.

She also shared that is was Margaret who really pushed her to relocate and focus on herself.

“Margaret really was kind of telling me I was supposed to be having the time of my life, but I wasn’t,” the “Four Weddings and a Funeral” star recalled.

“But now I am. I’m having the time of my life now. It’s really good.”

MacDowell and Paul were married from 1986 to 1999. The former model’s last public relationship was a short-lived marriage to her former high school classmate, Rhett Hartzog, from 2001 to 2004.
