Margot Robbie Says Wuthering Heights with Jacob Elordi Is More ‘Bananas’ Than Saltburn: ‘Just You Wait’

Margot Robbie’s Wuthering Heights will reach altogether new heights, according to the actress-producer.
Director Emerald Fennell’s upcoming big-screen adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel (in theaters February 2026) is more “bananas” than the filmmaker’s previous hit Saltburn, Robbie teased in an interview with MTV and Josh Horowitz.
“Just you wait,” Robbie, 35, said while jabbing her thumb upward in a clip shared to Instagram. “It’s bananas. It’s great. It’s brilliant.”
“You’ll see a little sneak peek soon,” she then teased, causing fellow interviewee Colin Farrell to ask, “Trailer coming soon?”
“I can’t say nothing,” quipped the Australian star.
Robbie will star as Catherine opposite Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff in Fennell’s take on Brontë’s romantic drama, first published in 1847. In March, photos from the movie’s set showed the Barbie Oscar nominee in an elaborate wedding gown complete with waist-cinching corset.
The film, costarring Shazad Latif, Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, Charlotte Mellington and Adolescence Emmy-nominee Owen Cooper, will be co-produced by Robbie’s LuckyChap, the same company behind 2023’s Barbie and Saltburn (which also starred Elordi, 28). The actress-producer works alongside husband Tom Ackerley, with whom she welcomed a baby boy in October 2024.

Robbie and Farrell, 49, star in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey (in theaters Sept. 19), a romantic fantasy from writer-director Kogonada. The Irish actor also leads Ballad of a Small Player (in select theaters Oct. 15, and on Netflix Oct. 29) and will reprise his role as the Penguin in Matt Reeves’ The Batman sequel.
In his interview, Horowitz asked Robbie about one of her potential upcoming projects: adapting Ottessa Moshfegh’s 2018 novel My Year of Rest and Relaxation for the screen. “I love that book so much,” she said. “We’re still trying to get it made. We’re working on it.”
Wuthering Heights is scheduled to be released in theaters Feb. 13.
