Martha Stewart’s makeup artist being eyed for ‘RHONY’
Call it a makeup item?
After we reported that there were rumors Bravo producers have been wooing domestic diva Martha Stewart to join “The Real Housewives of New York City,” sources came out of the woodwork to tell us that the execs were actually after Stewart’s top makeup artist, Daisy Toye!
Multiple sources tell us that “RHONY” — which has been “heavily” casting, according to Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen — is talking to Toye and that she’s keen to join the show if cast.
(Presumably if Stewart’s makeup artist of more than 17 years gets the gig, Stewart herself would pop up in some cameos?)
Toye works with Stewart five days a week, Page Six has previously reported.
A Bravo rep did not comment, and a rep for Stewart didn’t get back to us. The reps previously shot down the buzz that Stewart herself could join the show, and Stewart’s longtime flack even told us of the casting, “not Martha,” adding, “She says she is not a ‘Housewife.’ ”
Toye told Page Six Style recently how she joined Stewart’s team: “One day [Stewart’s editor-in-chief] called me and was like ‘Daisy, Martha’s makeup artist is not available, can you come and do this photo shoot?’ I bought all new brushes and makeup.”
She also said of sexy Stewart’s makeup routine: “A lot of women of a certain age are stuck on their products that they’ve been using . . . Martha is totally not like that. She’s very open.”
Stewart just launched her own skincare line, Elm Biosciences.
Besides Toye, there has also been speculation that “Summer House” stars Paige DeSorbo and Lindsay Hubbard could join the “RHONY” cast. “RHONY” star Jessel Taank told “Page Six Radio” of the duo: “To me, it would be so cool because they’re already very well known in the Bravoverse.”
Then again, Bravo is apparently talking to lots of different potential newcomers, and it’s unclear when the show would begin filming or be back on the air.
