Martin Lawrence’s Daughter Jasmin Is Pregnant, Expecting 1st Baby With Eddie Murphy’s Son Eric

Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin Lawrence is pregnant and expecting her first baby with Eddie Murphy’s son Eric Murphy.

“Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift ❤️❤️❤️,” the couple wrote via Instagram alongside Jasmin’s maternity photos on Monday, February 2. One of the snaps showed Eric, 36, resting his head on Jasmin’s stomach.

Martin, 60, also shared the photos via his own Instagram page.

“What a blessing to start the day! My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude after the announcement of my first grandchild!” he captioned the post. “Watching @jasmin_lawrence and @ericmurphy777 begin this journey into parenthood means everything to me. Family is everything — and this moment is nothing less than a blessing from God. Welcome to the next generation!”

While Eddie, 64, has yet to publicly react to the news, he shared his thoughts on Jasmin and Eric becoming parents in July 2025.

“I’m never pushing them,” he told E! News at the time. “It’s a beautiful blessing and whenever it happens, it happens.”

The pregnancy news comes less than one year after Jasmin, 30, and Eric tied the knot. Eddie announced their marriage during a May 2025 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, revealing that they had a small church ceremony two weeks prior.

“They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” Eddie said, joking that Martin didn’t have to pay for a “big wedding” anymore.

“We’re in-laws,” Eddie said of his fellow comedian.

Eddie also said that Jasmin and Eric might have a “big party” at some point to celebrate the wedding.

During his own appearance on the talk show at the time, Martin said, “We want the best for our children. We let them do their own thing and make their choices and stay out of their business and let them find their way.”

While it’s unclear exactly when Eric and Jasmin started dating, the pair went public with their romance via Instagram in June 2021.

Jasmin later shared how she and Eric met in a 2022 interview with In Touch Weekly.

“My uncle actually introduced us — it wasn’t even our dads,”she said at the time. “And they’ve done two movies together. They’re friends. I don’t even know, it’s crazy, but we met through my uncle and, you know, we became really good friends.”

The actress added, “Obviously, we have similar backgrounds so we understood each other on a certain level, and over time it just, you know, became more.”

Eric and Jasmin announced their engagement in November 2024, sharing a video of the sweet proposal.

“It’s beautiful! Oh my gosh,” Jasmin said of her engagement ring after Eric popped the question in a room decorated with candles, roses and flower petals.

Jasmin wrote via Instagram at the time, “We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny,” she wrote. “We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ❤️❤️. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!”
